Sealant & Joint Project — Washington, DC
Overview
This 11-story precast building has punched openings. The existing sealant at the precast-to-precast and window perimeter joints were in need of repair due to deterioration.
Details
Houck used hand tools to remove the existing urethane sealant joints. We then mechanically cleaned the sides of the joints to remove any residual sealant to allow for proper adhesion of the new urethane sealant. Finally, we cleaned the entire exterior facade to remove any dirt, stains and biological growth.
