Houck is out for Blood! (10/14/11)

Houck will be hosting a blood drive on Friday, October 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our Harrisburg office. Come in costume or come as yourself, but please join us as we donate blood to help others! In the spirit of trick-or-treat, we'll have Halloween treats for all donors. Save your spot by calling Jackie at (717) 657-3302, ext. 216 by October 21.

9/11 and Storms! (9/9/11)

As some deal with the recent storms and floods here in Central PA & the Northeast ... those in the South & West deal with floods and wildfires ... it seems at some point in everyone’s lives, we all face significant challenges; whether they be situations like this or economical, relationships, health, etc. ... none of us are immune to challenges. It’s simply called ... being human and reality!
 
However, as this weekend approaches ... let us never forget what occurred 10 years ago this Sunday ... “9/11”!!!
 
The events of that day changed our lives forever in many ways and struck at our country’s core! Yet, we have so much to be thankful for!!! Hopefully we can take a moment to remember those who died and/or were injured on that day and their loved ones ... and all those service members who have died and/or been injured since, along with their loved ones ... and those serving today to help protect our freedoms. Whether we agree or not with the present conflicts ... these men and women sacrifice for all of us ... and like those veterans before them, have helped protect our freedoms!!!
 
I hope you, your family and co-workers are safe and well, and not affected too much by the recent events ... that we all continue to proud to be Americans ... and keep those affected by 9/11 and the recent events in your thoughts and prayers!

Are you ready for the snow? (8/26/11)

Who wants to think about snow and the long winter ahead? We’d much rather focus on enjoying the dog days of summer. But winter is coming and in Pennsylvania, that means snow will once again appear in the weather forecast. Significant or heavy snowfalls can wreak havoc on your roof, causing potential long-term damage.

Houck Opens Lancaster Office (8/26/11)

In June 2011, Houck opened an office in Lancaster to better serve new and existing customers in Lancaster County and the surrounding region. The Lancaster office offers the same safety, quality and performance customers have come to expect from the Houck team over the last 60 years.
