Convention Center

Steep Slope Project - Pennsylvania

Overview:
Houck was asked to re-roof 30,000 square feet of badly deteriorated cedar shake shingles on one of the guest wings of this large hotel complex. The owner wanted to mimic the shake style, so Houck installed new asphalt “shake” shingles.

Details:
To promote ventilation beneath the shingle, Houck installed a vented insulation board with OSB sheathing surface. Houck also installed a vented drip edge and ridge vent to accommodate air movement with the insulation system.
