Historical Cathedral
Specialty Repairs Project - Maryland
Overview:
The main focus of the project involved replacing an expansive built-in copper gutter that interfaced with a slate roof on this 1845 cathedral. The gutter was constructed with 2’ x 4’ copper panels.
Details:
Houck hemmed and soldered each panel into place. Other intricate copper work included completely recovering eight dormers. Houck replaced copper conducted heads and downspouts, while maintaining the cathedral’s historical integrity. While on site, Houck also replaced standing seam copper roofing on three auxiliary roofs
